A Pretty Purplicious Party! (warning post contains lots of purple puns!)

Samantha turned 5 on February 28th. We threw her a very alliterative Purple birthday Party for her. The idea started as a joke over dinner one evening when we were trying to Plan her Party. Since she absolutely loves the color Purple we wanted to Plan a Purple Party. And so you see where it took off.

It was a Purple Prince and Princess (P)irthday Pizza Party.

We made Purple Invitations.

We had a full house (no, Poker was not involved)!

When Party People came we gave them Purple Pearls and they Played with Puzzles until everyone arrived. Then they made Purple Personal Pizzas. Unfortunately I did not get a picture of them but Prior to the Party I made homemade Personal sized Pizza crusts colored Purple with food coloring mixed into the dough. It was quite impressive actually. The balls of dough looked like Purple Playdough! (hah! another “P” word!)

While the Pizzas baked we Planted Purple Pansies.

At the end, while we waited for Parents we Played around to the music of the Purple People Eater and other silly songs.

Samantha sent her guests off with fun favors:

A Purple Pail filled with Purple Popcorn balls, Pencils, Playdough and a Puzzle for the Prince or Pearls for the Princesses.

All in all it was a Pretty Phun Party!

(How many Purple P’s did you count?)

  1. How fun! have you seen the books Pinkalicious and Purplicious? Probably something she would enjoy. Can't remember the author off the top of my head.

  2. Lilly is loving these pictures! She keeps pointing at them and saying, "Look, that's me!" And I say, "No that's your cousin Katherine" (or Gabby as the case may be) and she says, "She's my favorite cousin!"
    That's an awesome cake!
